Everything on this site is here to describe what the shop does and help you find us. Nothing on it is a binding quote, an offer, or a promise of a particular price, turnaround time, or result.

Repair work, rentals, sales and appraisals are quoted and agreed with Philip directly, in person or over the phone, once he has seen the instrument. What he tells you there is what governs the work — not what a web page says.

Hours, availability and what's in stock change. We do our best to keep this site current, but we can't guarantee that every detail is accurate at the moment you read it. Call the shop if something matters to your trip.

The open/closed indicator on this site is a convenience, not a guarantee. It reflects the shop's posted hours and, when available, a status Philip has set himself. Please call before making a long drive.

The guidance on this site — about sizing, string changes, whether a repair is worth doing, what a label inside a violin means — is general and written to be useful. It isn't a substitute for having Philip look at your particular instrument, and it isn't a valuation or an appraisal. An appraisal requires seeing the instrument in person.
